SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Yonhap) -- TV broadcaster SBS said Monday it has postponed the scheduling of "The Long Shot Trial," a drama starring actress Ha Young, who has been embroiled in controversy over allegations concerning the pro-Japanese activities of her great-grandfather, Ahn Sang-ho.
"We have decided to adjust the scheduling of 'The Long Shot Trial,'" SBS said. "As this is a production made together by numerous staff members and cast members, we are considering various options, but no specific broadcast date has been decided yet."
The show, starring Lee Je-hoon and Ha Young, is a comedic legal mystery series about a motley law firm led by a former lawyer who is currently working as an office manager.
The series was originally scheduled to premiere in February next year, but its broadcast was postponed after allegations concerning the pro-Japanese activities of Ha Young's great-grandfather, Ahn Sang-ho, were raised online.
After the allegations surfaced, Ha Young apologized, saying, "As a descendant, I sincerely apologize," and withdrew from Netflix's "The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call" Seasons 2 and 3, putting her activities on hold.
The baseball drama "Full Count," starring Kim Rae-won and Park Hoon, will fill the programming slot originally intended for "The Long Shot Trial." The series follows people who stake everything they have on winning the job of a professional baseball manager.
