SEOUL, Oct. 21 (Yonhap) -- Crush said Wednesday that his new song "Bbiggeudeok," set for release at 6 p.m., "would not have come into the world if it weren't for IU."
"I thought IU was the only voice that would suit 'Bbiggeudeok' best, so I suggested it to her, and I was really happy when she readily accepted," Crush said. "I'm truly grateful that, as a result, we were able to complete a song that turned out even better than I had imagined."
"Bbiggeudeok" is Crush's first new song in a year and two months. It portrays the awkward and stumbling process of love from an affectionate perspective.
IU not only contributed vocals to the song but also appears in its music video.
"While working together, I was impressed by IU's meticulous approach to music and lyrics," Crush said. "Even while filming content such as the music video, I found myself thinking, 'There's a reason IU is such a great actress.'"
"As this is a new song I'm releasing after a long time, I hope to connect with many people through 'Bbiggeudeok,'" he said. "Rather than wanting grandiose titles, I want to continue to be a musician who leaves behind songs that are meaningful in someone's life."
