SEOUL, May 19 (Yonhap) -- Girl group TWICE’s Nayeon will drop her first solo mini-album “IM NAYEON” on June 24th, according to the agency JYP Entertainment, Thursday.
JYP Entertainment released the member’s solo album poster on its official social media on the same day.
In particular, Nayeon announced the release of her solo album at 1 p.m. (0 AM EST) on Friday, so it seems that the member is targeting the U.S. Billboard chart, which will be counted for a week starting Friday.
The album’s title holds the meaning of Nayeon’s birth name “Im Na-yeon” and at the same time, a confident message that says “I am Nayeon.”
Nayeon debuted as a member of TWICE in October 2015 and released hit songs such as “Like OOH-AHH,” “CHEER UP,” and “LIKEY.” The member’s upcoming album will be the first solo attempt within the group after 7 years of debut.
