SEOUL, Dec. 12 (Yonhap) -- On December 11, the second Sunday of December, relatively warm weather led to citizens visiting ski resorts and festival venues in season.
 
About 4,500 skiers and snowboarders visited Jeongseon High1 Ski Resort in Gangwon Province by 1 p.m. on December 11.
 
About 3,000 people gathered at Yongpyong Resort and Phoenix Pyeongchang Ski Resort to enjoy winter sports.
 
More than 1,000 people entered the Elysian Gangchon Ski Resort in Chuncheon and ran down the slope to create winter memories.
 
Approximately 2,000 people dressed in colorful ski suits ran down the country's longest silk road slope of 6.1 kilometers at Muju Deogyusan Resort Ski Resort in Jeollabuk-do.
 
Many skiers and snowboarders also spent their holiday at Jisan Forest Resort Ski Resort and Gonjiam Resort Ski Resort in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, showing off their own skills.
 
Many citizens and tourists also came to Yongin Everland's snow sled site, "Snowbuster," to enjoy a racing course that competes for speed or relieve stress by riding a four-seater sled at a height of 200 meters.

The DMZ Peace Tourism Program held at Imjingak in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, was followed by participants who wanted to tour Dorasan Observatory and the third tunnel made for infiltration by North Korean troops.
