SEOUL, May 18 (Yonhap) -- Busan, a fervent bidder to host the 2030 World Expo, compiled a new travel guide featuring tourist attractions formerly visited by the global convention's supervisors, the municipality said on Thursday.
The travel guide, compiled by the Busan Metropolitan Government and the Busan Tourism Organization, introduces the travel spots visited by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), which oversees and regulates World Expos, in April.
The "2030 EXPO Busan Travel Guide" introduces a model itinerary for the port city's popular spots in a two-day schedule. Day-one recommendations include the Busan Station, Eulsukdo Island, Dadaepo and Songdo Beaches, as well as the Sinho Park in Gangseo district. Second day itinerary presents historically valuable venues, such as U.N. Memorial Park, the Cinema Center, Busan Port Bridge and Korea’s longest double-deck Gwangan Bridge.
The full version of the tour guide is available on the official website of the Busan Tourism Organization (https://www.visitbusan.net).
