SEOUL, May 9 (Yonhap) -- K-pop singers Taeyeon, Kwon Eunbi, and Yook Sungjae are set to appear in the variety show 'Zombieverse' Season 2, which depicts the process of surviving against zombies.
On the 9th, Netflix announced that the upcoming original series 'Zombieverse' Season 2, scheduled to be released this year, will feature these three along with TV personality Jo Seho, singer Defconn, music producer Code Kunst, Chungju City official Kim Suntae, and former White House chef-turned-YouTuber Andre Rush.
'Zombieverse' is a variety program that showcases participants completing various tasks to survive in a world overrun by zombies. Season 2 will also be directed by Park Jinkyung and Moon Sangdon PD, who helmed Season 1.
Consisting of 8 episodes, Season 1 ranked 5th in the world in terms of weekly views among Netflix non-English content shortly after its release in August last year.
Netflix explained that in Season 2, viewers can expect a more challenging and exhilarating survival game with the expansion of the imaginative zombie world, intricate composition, upgraded quests, and the emergence of stronger zombie abilities compared to the previous season.
