Goobne Chicken opens 4th outlet in U.S.

SEOUL, April 15 (Yonhap) -- GN Food, the operator of South Korea's leading roasted-chicken franchise Goobne Chicken, said Monday it has opened its fourth outlet in the United States.  

With the opening of the store located in Los Angeles' Korea Town, Goobne has four U.S. outlets that include two in LA and one in Texas, GN Food said in a statement. 

"There is a rising demand for Korean foods in the U.S. helped by the popularity of Korean songs, dramas, films and other content," a company spokesperson said.  

GN Food aims to open 100 Goobne stores in global markets by 2025. 

The company opened its first overseas Goobne outlet in Hong Kong in 2014 and currently operates 45 across 10 countries, including Japan, China and Malaysia.
