SEOUL, Aug. 16 (Yonhap) -- Actors Gong Min-jung (38) and Jang Jae-ho (38), who played a married couple in the tvN drama My Husband's Wedding earlier this year, are set to become a real-life couple.
Gong Min-jung announced on social media on the 16th that they will be tying the knot in September in a small ceremony with close family and friends.
In her post, Gong described Jang as "the person I'm closest to in the world," sharing that they first met as friends before working together on the drama. She praised Jang for always making her laugh and for his unwavering kindness, saying, "He is such a precious person who made me believe I want to walk through life with him."
In My Husband's Wedding, Gong and Jang played the roles of Yang Joo-ran, a working professional, and her unemployed husband Lee Jae-hyun, respectively.
Gong Min-jung made her film debut in 2013 with Anyone Can Die in Their Own Way and has appeared in numerous movies and dramas. She gained wider recognition for her role as Pyo Mi-seon, the close friend of Shin Min-a's character in the 2021 drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.
Jang Jae-ho, who debuted in the 2008 play The Regret Inside That Blanket, delivered a memorable performance as an enthusiastic rookie detective in the 2022 film The Devil's Deal.
