SEOUL, Nov. 15 (Yonhap) —The National Folk Museum of Korea will hold a conference on the theme of "Folk and Migration" in collaboration with the Asian Comparative Folklore Society on November 18 and 19 at the museum's auditorium and its traditional culture learning center.
Scholars from Korea, China, and Japan will come together and share their traces of research related to migration and discuss cultural awareness and the folk homogeneity of hometowns by looking at various cases in Asia.
The conference will be held under three themes: "Nation and Politics," "Nation and Culture," and "Nation and Food."
It analyzes the recent situation in which ethnic boundaries are becoming increasingly unclear through various cases, including the movement of Tibetan refugees, Korean groups who moved to Kazakhstan, and married Vietnamese migrant women.
The event will be held both online and offline, and participants can participate via an online meeting.
