SEOUL Jan. 3 (Yonhap) – The Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) will be launching the keychains of KTX captain Ryan and crew Apeach as its new official merchandise (goods).
These keychains, each character of Kakao Friends resembling the looks of a KTX captain and crew, are the sequel to the “Station captain Ryan” merchandise, which was released in 2021 and sold out early.
The freshly launched merchandise is to be sold at 30,000 convenience stores placed at train stations, with a price of 19,000 won. In commemoration of its launch, the keychains will be sold at a discount of 17,000 won until the end of this month.
Park No-joo, the head of KORAIL’s asset management division, said, “We have produced the keychains that would retain the characteristics of a railway in order to give a differentiated pleasure in the new year,” adding, “We will be introducing more beneficial products that can develop along with the SMEs by using railway resources.”
