SEOUL, May 30 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actress Lim Ji-yeon has been named an honorary police officer for preventing drug crimes.
The National Police Agency held a ceremony to appoint Lim as an honorary police officer and a goodwill ambassador fighting against drug crimes in Seoul, according to the domestic police office Monday.
Over the next two years, Lim will be in charge of promoting major policies and participating in diverse security campaigns related to purging drug crimes.
"It is an honor to be named an honorary police officer and ambassador for preventing drug crimes," Lim said during the ceremony. "I will put in my utmost effort into fulfilling my responsibility and mission,” she added.
Lim recently garnered worldwide attention for her role in the mega-hit Netflix original series “The Glory.” She adeptly played the role of Park Yeon-jin, a perpetrator of school violence.
