SEOUL, Aug. 30 (Yonhap) -- The thriller webtoon Hell Is Other People, which has already been adapted into a popular drama in South Korea, is set to be reborn as a film in Japan.
According to Naver Webtoon and other sources on the 30th, the Japanese film adaptation of Hell Is Other People will premiere on November 15.
The lead role of Yu will be played by actor Rintaro Hachimura, who is also a member of a boy group, while Shuntaro Yanagi will portray the deranged antagonist Kirishima. The film is directed by Kazuto Kodama.
Hell Is Other People is a thriller webtoon set in a cramped and decrepit dormitory, where chilling events unfold. The webtoon has garnered over 980 million views globally.
In South Korea, the webtoon was previously adapted into an OCN drama in 2019, starring Im Si-wan and Lee Dong-wook.
