'Busan One Asia Festival' wins 200 million won K-pop Concert support project

SEOUL March 10 (Yonhap) -- The Busan Tourism Organization announced on the Friday that the Busan One Asia Festival shortened as BOF has been selected as reception of the 2023 K-POP concert support project sponsored by the Korea Tourism Organization. As a result, BOF is awarded with 200 million won.

According to the Busan Tourism Organization, contestants of this year's "K-POP Concert Support Project", screened in total of 12 various projects which promote tourists, attracting foreign tourists to Korea, revitalizing local tourism, domestic and foreign promotion plans, and disaster and safety management and as a result 4 of the final projects will receive the support.

Hosted by the Busan City Government and organized by the Busan Tourism Organization, Busan One Asia Festival will provide unique and interesting contents for Hallyu fans around the world and Busan citizens to enjoy in online and offline environment in October.

Throughout the festival Busan City Government will do their best to promote and market in order to successfully win the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo.

The Busan Tourism Organization addressed, "As BOF has been selected as the best K-POP content for six consecutive years, we will work with the Korea Tourism Organization to attract foreign tourists so that we recover the rate set by pre-COVID-19 era."
