SEOUL, Mar. 13 (Yonhap) -- South Korea’s Jeju Tourism Association for Jeju Island will launch an ON Jeju Spring campaign to attract domestic tourists during the peak of spring tourism season.
The Tourism Association will grant those who post travel pictures on their social spaces travel points that can be used on Tamano, a public travel platform for the island, starting from Tuesday for a month.
Points can be used to receive discounts on travel products when revisiting Jeju Island or to purchase and deliver special souvenirs. In the meantime, the Association also announced new tourist attractions via its official social media account and YouTube channel.
The Association has also been organizing and introducing ESG-related travel culture campaigns, as the framework has been garnering attention among the younger generation these days. In addition, sports activities for golf and leisure, as well as new tourist attractions that would captivate the hearts and eyes of the MZ generation, have also been presented.
The face-to-face local promotions associated with large-scale tourism fairs are scheduled to be held four times in the metropolitan and Yeongnam regions from upcoming 23rd to May 7.
The Association is also planning for various on-track promotions along with collaborative marketing campaigns with opinion leaders in major cities such as Seoul and Busan.
An official from the Jeju Tourism Association said, “The number of tourists visiting Jeju island has been increasing since March with the increasing demand for spring travels,” adding, “We will devout our utmost effort to revitalize the local community by promoting our island’s incomparable charms through marketing and attracting both domestic and international tourists.”
