SEOUL March 19 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actress Lee Bo-young steps into the role of a former prosecutor turned lawyer who delves into the mystery of her missing husband in the upcoming Coupang Play original series "Hide," set to premiere on March 23.
Speaking at a press conference for "Hide" held at the Joseon Palace in Seoul's Gangnam district on Friday, Lee described her character as someone who constantly reacts to unfolding situations, saying, "I felt frustrated continuously playing a role where I kept getting hit from behind. However, portraying such a character was both refreshing and enjoyable."
"Hide" follows the story of Na Moon-young, a former prosecutor-turned-lawyer, as she investigates the sudden disappearance of her husband, Cha Sung-jae.
Lee portrays Na Moon-young, nicknamed "Wolverine" for her relentless determination during her days as a prosecutor. Utilizing her investigative skills, Moon-young delves into her husband's disappearance and uncovers his secrets along the way.
"After receiving the offer to appear in the production and reading the script, I kept asking to see more because I was so curious about the story's development. Before I knew it, I had read up to episode six," Lee said, explaining her decision to join the series.
Cha Sung-jae, Moon-young's husband who disappears unexpectedly while concealing secrets, is portrayed by actor Im Ju-hwan.

"Just like the title 'Hide' suggests, the drama has a feeling of hide-and-seek," Im said.
Lee Chung-ah takes on the role of Ha Yeon-joo, Moon-young's neighbor who extends a helping hand in the midst of secretive circumstances. Lee Min-jae plays Do Jin-woo, Sung-jae's acquaintance who lingers around Moon-young after Sung-jae's disappearance.
The 12-episode series "Hide" will be available on Coupang Play every Saturday and Sunday at 10 p.m. starting March 23, with simultaneous broadcasting on JTBC at 10:30 p.m.
Regarding competition with other weekend dramas, Lee Bo-young expressed confidence, saying, "I don't feel any pressure about ratings. I worked hard, and I believe viewers will enjoy it."
