Actress Kim Sae-ron’s driving license suspended as results of blood test

SEOUL, June 1 (Yonhap) – The blood test results of S. Korean actress Kim Sae-ron(22), who was caught driving under the influence, have been confirmed to be in the suspension of her license.

The Seoul Gangnam Police Station announced on Wednesday that Kim’s blood alcohol level exceeded 0.08 percent, which makes her subject to permanent suspension of her driver’s license. The police mentioned that they were notified of the results by the National Forensic Service on Tuesday.

After further investigation, the police will send Kim to the public prosecutor’s office for charges of drunk driving and not taking action after the accident.

A police official said that they decided to remit a passenger in his twenties who was in the car at the time of the accident for abetting drunk driving.

Kim was found to have crashed into guardrails and street trees several times while driving in Cheongdam, Gangnam District, on May 18 at around 8 a.m.

As the electric transformer broke down due to the accident, the electricity supply to 57 nearby stores was cut off for about three hours.

The actress blew on the breathalyzer and the result tested positive, but she refused to measure her blood alcohol concentration and was sent home after a blood test.
