SEOUL, Sep. 02 (Yonhap) -- Nexon has launched a Kim Yeon-koung character, a South Korean female volleyball player, for “Sudden Attack,” their online first-person shooting game (FPS) Thursday.
Players who use this character when playing the game can see effects such as taegeuk volleyball·SIGBBANG·victory pose with Kim’s voice.
Kim earned her nickname, SIGBBANG which means bread in English, for saying out a swearword out loud after her mistake during a match. The scene was sent out on broadcast and the fans started calling her with the nickname which sounds similar to the swearword she said.
Users who buy the character set will be provided with a coupon “Kim Yeon-koung mouse pad” and can enter for an event that give away goods such as a signed uniform.
