SEOUL March 27 (Yonhap) -- Sound Play version of the “The Woman Climbed Up on The Roof“ which uses sounds instead of acting to deliver the message and based off from the novel “The Woman Climbed Up on The Roof” will premiere on March 31, and continue on until April 2 at the Arko & Daehakro Arts Theater.
The novel “The Woman Climbed Up on The Roof” by writer Park Seo-ryon which received the grand prize from the 23rd Hankyoreh literature award depicts a story of a female worker at a rubber factory, which is based off from the actual life of a freedom fighter and working class woman Kang Ju-ryong.
The production is done by Lee Ki-bbeum, Hong Dan-bi and music producer Kim Seung-jin and various other worked together to come up with creative pansori format. Sorikkun, single performer Kang Na-hyun, Kim Eun-kyung, Lee Ji-soo and Jung Ji-hye will appear throughout the performance.
