SEOUL, Mar. 31 (Yonhap) -- The city of Ulsan will join hands with the Korean-based online travel agency Tide Square to organize a two-week-long project from Mar. 29 to promote the city’s tourism resources, travel routes, and travel products linked to accommodation.
The project will be carried out on several major online media outlets, including Tourvis, Hyundai Card Privia Travel, Naver, and Instagram, to gather visitors between April and June, during which major events and festivals are scheduled to be held.
The city will primarily focus on introducing unknown travel spots and routes that span over the Daewangam Park, Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Zone, Taehwa River National Garden, and Yeongam Alps, which have been inscribed on the Top 100 Tourist Destinations in Korea.
In addition, the city will drop short promotional videos, keyword commercials, and travel shopping advertisements to stimulate travel demand. The city will also provide discounts on hotel accommodation and meals, which will give a welcoming fillip to the number of visitors who stay overnight.
“With more and more buying travel products online, online travel agencies are reckoned as one of the effective means to promote tourism,” a city official said. “We expect that this promotional event will attract travelers to Ulsan on sunny spring days.”
