S.Korean theme park Lotte World to showcase Halloween season

SEOUL September 22 (Yonhap) -- Halloween event is returning to Lotte World with more intense horror contents.

Park Mi –sook the head director of Lotte World’s marketing department stated on September 20 “Starting on August 2 up to November 13, total of 73, Lotte World will be showcasing Horror Halloween season.” adding “We took into a consideration that there are families, who visit the theme park as well, therefore instead of putting a heavy emphasis on the scary part of the content, we came up with a concept which consists a mixture of family friendly and scary contents.”

Continuing on, “Due to wide spread of COVID 19, Halloween event, was held on the Magic Island, the outdoor side of the Lotte World, however, this year, we are expanding our contents and events indoors as well.” stated the head director of Lotte World marketing department.

Halloween concept of Lotte World can be divided into two great segments, first a cute and horror, when Lotte World first implemented their concept of Halloween in 2016 October which was the off season became one of the peak seasons.

Hands on contents such as room escape content called “Endless nightmare” which is an online and offline integrated content, “Zombie Subway” and “Zombie Prison” which has the goal of successfully escaping from the prison filled with zombies will be provided throughout the Halloween event at Lotte World.

Moreover, every 7:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. visitors will be able to watch the performance “Zombie Attack” and “Restricted Area A.”

These performances are about a conflict and a battle between a zombie army which took over the Lotte World Adventure and the military force in order to fight off the army of zombies.

Cute family oriented photo zones will be greeting families who visit Lotte World during the Halloween event.

Lotty’s Halloween party parade will feature Halloween pumpkins, ghosts, Dracula, mascot of Lotte World Lotty and Lorry and more characters.
