SEOUL, November 2 (Yonhap) -- The autumn leaves of Naejangsan Mountain, one of the best autumn leaves in Korea, are expected to peak from November 5 to 12, the weekend, Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do, announced on Wednesday.
The autumn leaves of Naejangsan Mountain, selected as one of the top 100 tourist attractions in Korea, have no high mountains around, have a large daily temperature difference due to the geographical characteristics of the southern inland, and have a long sunshine time, making and enhancing the leaves red and colorful.
11 kinds of maple trees, such as sweet maple, narrow maple, furry maple, Chinese cypress, and Bokjagi, show off their beauty in harmony in Naejangsan Mountain.
In particular, the 290-year-old maple tree in Geumseon Valley was designated as a natural monument last year, raising the status of the maple tree as an attraction.
