Yoon calls for 'strong response' after N. Korea's ICBM launch
SEOUL, Oct. 31 (Yonhap) -- President Yoon Suk Yeol called Thursday for a "strong response" after North Korea launched a suspected intercontinental ballistic missile toward the East Sea.
Yoon gave the instruction after being briefed on the launch, which was detected by the South Korean military around 7:10 a.m. from near Pyongyang.
"The president ordered a strong response to North Korea's provocations together with the international community and thorough readiness to ensure North Korea cannot plot a surprise provocation," the presidential office said in a press release.
