Northernmost fishing ground in East Sea opened

A fishing boat operates in a fishing ground off Jeo Island in Goseong, Gangwon Province, on South Korea's east coast, on April 17, 2025, as the country's northernmost fishing ground bordering North Korea opened the same day. The Jeo Island fishing ground in the East Sea is open to South Korean fishermen from April to December every year. (Yonhap)
