Ex-first lady's associate attends hearing on legality of his arrest

Lee Jong-ho, former head of investment firm Blackpearl Invest and an associate of Kim Keon Hee, wife of former President Yoon Suk Yeol, appears at the Seoul Central District Court in the capital on Aug. 5, 2025, to attend a hearing on the legality of his arrest on charges of violating the Attorney-at-Law Act. Lee is known to have managed Kim's account in connection with a stock price manipulation case involving Deutsch Motors, a BMW dealer in South Korea. (Yonhap)
