LIG Nex1 showcases air defense systems at Qatar exhibition
SEOUL, Jan. 20 (Yonhap) -- LIG Nex1 Co., a South Korean precision-guided missiles and weapons manufacturer, said Tuesday it has showcased the company's latest air defense systems at a biennial maritime defense exhibition in Qatar.
At the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference 2026 under way in Qatar, LIG Nex1 presented an array of air defense solutions, including the Cheongung-II, L-SAM and the Shingung air defense system.
LIG Nex1 also showcased a range of precision-guided missile systems, including the Hyungung anti-tank missile and the Bigung guided rocket.
It marked LIG Nex1's first participation at the exhibition. The company plans to explore cooperation opportunities with the local defense sector as well.
The participation follows LIG Nex1's expansion of its Middle Eastern office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in August last year and reflects efforts to step up regional sales activities, the company said.
