Drying reservoir

In this photo taken on July 7, 2025, the upper stream of Obong Reservoir in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, northeastern South Korea, is partly devoid of water and parched, as a shortage of rainfall has caused drought damage in the area. The water level of the reservoir, a source of tap water for the region's households, has fallen to 33.3 percent of normal levels, about half the level of an average year. (Yonhap)
