Springtime blessings
A family attaches sheets of paper with springtime blessings written in Chinese characters to the gate of a traditional house, hanok, at the National Folk Museum of Korea in Seoul on Feb. 2, 2023, two days ahead of the day of "Ipchun," one of the 24 seasonal divisions of the calendar that marks the onset of spring. The banner on the right reads "Ipchun Daegil," meaning "Good luck on Ipchun," and the other one on the left reads "Geonyang Dagyeong," meaning "With signs of a positive spirit, your family is full of happiness."
