FSS seeks to help foreign nationals gain easy access to financial services
SEOUL, Oct. 29 (Yonhap) -- The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) said Tuesday it has issued promotional materials to help non-Korean residents gain easy access to financial services at local banks.
The financial regulator has delivered the financial guide book to 88 bank outlets specialized in services for foreigners across the country that offer services on holidays, along with interpretation services.
"Financial education is important for foreign nationals to adapt to Korea's financial environment, but barriers of time and language may not allow them to enjoy sufficient opportunities for education," the FSS said in a press release.
"Against this backdrop, the Financial Supervisory Service produced promotional materials to promote our contents for financial education for foreigners," it added.
The promotional materials introduce the educational contents with QR code to download the "Financial Guide Book for Foreigners in Korea" in eight different languages, including English, Chinese, Vietnamese and Filipino, as well as the "Financial Guide Video for Foreigners in Korea" in four languages, according to the regulator.
