Funeral for alpinist Heo Young-ho
A portrait of alpinist Heo Young-ho, who died at age 71 on July 29, 2025, after battling with bile duct cancer, is displayed for his funeral at Hanyang University Hospital in Seoul the next day. Heo was known as the first person in the world to scale the highest peaks on all seven continents and to reach the three poles -- the North Pole, the South Pole and Mount Everest. (Yonhap)
