Actress Shin Se-kyung joins songstress IU's current agency

SEOUL, July 5 (Yonhap) -- Actress Shin Se-kyung has announced to sign an exclusive contract with EDAM Entertainment on Monday.

"We're very pleased to work with actress Shin Se-kyung who has built up a solid acting career for many years," Edam said. "We will provide our full support for Shin Se-kyung and help her portray a wider acting spectrum based on various platforms as well as dramas and movies."

Edam Entertainment is an agency currently managing songstress IU and has been engaged in various entertainment businesses such as record production, performance planning, and management. The agency is also expected to further expand its business by recruiting actress Shin Se-kyung.

Shin Se-kyung made her debut as a poster model for Seo Taiji's fifth album "Take Five" in 1998 and appeared in various dramas including "High Kick Through the Roof," "Deep Rooted Tree," "Six Flying Dragons," "Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung," "Run On," as well as films such as "Tazza: The Hidden Card."
