N.K. stamps to mark 80th anniv. of Korea's liberation from Japan

This photo, captured from the website of North Korea's State Stamp Bureau on Aug. 1, 2025, shows a stamp featuring the Liberation Tower honoring the Soviet war dead during the 1950-53 Korean War in Pyongyang. The North and Russia will jointly issue those stamps on Aug. 15 as part of events to celebrate the 80th anniversary this year of Korea's liberation from Japan's 1910-45 colonial rule of the Korean Peninsula.
