How South Korea and Japan took an historic step on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Hiroshima

For the first time, the leaders of South Korea and Japan have gathered together at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park to pay tribute to the Korean victims of the 1945 atomic bombing of Hiroshima. President Yoon Suk-yeol visited Sunday along with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida, their respective wives, and elderly surviving Korean victims of the bombing, lining up early in the morning to lay wreaths, bow in silence, and pay tribute. We heard from both leaders, while they also met on the sidelines on the G7 summit in Hiroshima, which set the stage for a flurry of other major meetings.
