Dokdo is a beautiful island of Korea in the East Sea, the home of rare marine life next to Ulleung island.
It is Korea's Natural Monument No. 336 and preseved as a 'Natural Preservation Area.'
However, Japan continued to make territorial claims to Dokdo and supported the exclusive use of the name "Sea of Japan" instead of "East Sea."
