SEOUL, Oct. 2 (Yonhap) -- “Transit Love,” the hit dating reality show where former couples live together and decide whether to rekindle their romance or start anew, has returned with its fourth season.

The show's producer Kim In-ha said the new season reflects the current dating trend of clear and swift expressions of emotions.

“People today tend to confess quickly if they like someone and just as quickly let go if they don’t. That atmosphere is mirrored in this season,” Kim noted during the press conference held at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in central Seoul on Wednesday.

Panelists said the latest season is marked by its speed. Comedian Lee Yong-jin described the series as “like watching a video at double or triple speed,” adding that the rapid and dynamic progression sets it apart from earlier seasons. Entertainer Kim Ye-won and singer Yura also agreed the fast pace was the biggest difference this time.

The production team interviewed around 1,000 candidates before finalizing the cast. Kim said the selection process focused not only on the “ex” factor but also on whether participants could form new connections.

This season introduces a clock-like device that allows contestants to indicate, in percentages, how much they want to reunite with their former partners. “Until now, the answers were yes or no, but now participants can express their feelings more gradually,” Kim explained.

Despite the fast pace, the show will still delve into the long-running narratives between former couples, the producer added.

“Transit Love 4” began streaming Wednesday on Tving and will release new episodes every week.
