BLACKPINK’s Rose nominated in eight categories at iHeartRadio Music Awards

SEOUL, Jan. 9 (Yonhap) -- BLACKPINK’s Rose has been nominated in eight categories spanning both her group and solo activities at the U.S. pop music awards ceremony, the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

 

According to the nominees list for the “2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards,” unveiled on Thursday (local time), Rose earned nominations for “Best Collaboration,” “K-pop Song of the Year,” and “K-pop Artist of the Year” with her hit song “APT.”

 

Another solo track by Rose, “toxic till the end,” was nominated for “Best Music Video,” while her duet “On My Mind,” recorded with pop star Alex Warren, was selected as a nominee for “Favorite K-pop Collaboration.”

 

In addition, BLACKPINK was nominated for “K-pop Group of the Year,” “Favorite TikTok Dance,” and “Favorite Tour Style,” bringing Rose’s total nominations to eight categories.

 

In the “K-pop Song of the Year” and “Best Music Video” categories, BLACKPINK’s “Jump” was also nominated, resulting in two songs featuring Rose being listed side by side in each category.

 

The Netflix animated film “K-pop Demon Hunters” is also vying for multiple awards.

 

Its popular original soundtrack “Golden” was nominated for “Pop Song of the Year,” “K-pop Song of the Year,” and “Best Lyrics.”

 

The performers of “Golden” — HUNTR/X members EJAE, Rei Ami and Audrey Nuna — were nominated for “Duo/Group of the Year,” while the OST album is competing in the “Favorite Soundtrack” category.

 

In the “K-pop Song of the Year” category, nominees include BTS member j-hope’s “Killin’ It Girl” and BLACKPINK member Jennie’s “like JENNIE,” alongside the previously mentioned contenders.

 

The “K-pop Artist of the Year” category features Rose, fellow BLACKPINK members Jennie and Lisa, and BTS members j-hope and Jin.

 

Nominees for “K-pop Group of the Year” include BLACKPINK, ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, Stray Kids and TWICE.

The “Best New K-pop Artist” category includes 82MAJOR, ALLDAY PROJECT, Cortis, Hearts2Hearts and Meovv.

 

Launched in 2014, the iHeartRadio Music Awards are hosted by U.S. online radio broadcaster iHeartRadio.

 

The awards ceremony will be held on March 26 in Los Angeles and broadcast live on Fox and other networks.
