SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Yonhap) -- Singer Lee Eun-mi, a.k.a. “the barefoot diva,” is releasing a new single, “Memories Bloom,” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, her agency Neobiz Company announced.
“Memories Bloom” captures the transience and beauty of love, likened to falling cherry blossoms, in a lyrical and emotional tone. Lee’s expressive vocals traverse the boundaries between blues and ballad, delivering deep sentiment and maturity.
The song was written and composed by Park Sun-joo, the singer-songwriter behind Bobby Kim’s hit “Love… That Guy.” Park explained, “I wanted to revive the memories of unforgettable love through music, even as time passes.”
Debuting in 1989 as a guest vocalist on Shinchon Blues’ third album, Lee Eun-mi has since released six studio albums and numerous hit songs, including “There’s a Lover” and “Nocturne.” Her barefoot performances and passionate stage presence have earned her the nickname “The Barefoot Diva.”
Following the single release, Lee Eun-mi will embark on a nationwide tour across 40 cities starting in March next year.
