SEOUL, Aug. 6 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group i-dle performed ahead of a Major League Baseball game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Tampa Bay Rays, their agency Cube Entertainment announced Wednesday.
Invited in celebration of "Korean Heritage Night," the group took to the field before the game for a special performance and ceremonial first pitch on Monday (local time) at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
Wearing Angels uniforms, the members energized the crowd with hit songs including “TOMBOY,” “Wife,” and “Queencard.” This marked the first time a musical act has held a pre-game performance with their own songs at an Angels home game.
During their visit, i-dle also met with Angels players Mike Trout and Zach Neto, as well as former Korean MLB pitcher Kim Byung-hyun and former KBO standout Dustin Nippert.
