SEOUL, May 19 (Yonhap) – S. Korean musical "Midnight Sun" starring a number of K-pop stars can be found in movie theaters.
CGV announced on May 19 that it will broadcast the musical "Midnight Sun” every Sunday at 6:30 p.m. from May 22 to June 26.
There are four theaters, such as CGV Gwangju Terminal, Daegu Academy, Daejeon, and Seomyeon. You can also watch it at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall on May 29 and June 12·19·26.
“Midnight Sun” is a youth melodrama that depicts the story of Ha-ram, who enjoys surfing in the hot sun, and Hae-na, a singer-songwriter who holds the street performance every night, and it is currently held at the KEPCO Art Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
K-pop boy group SHINee’s Onew plays Ha-ram in the rerunning, following its premiere in May, 2021. Ha Sung-woon from Wanna One is also starring in the same role. PENTAGON's Jin-ho, Golden Child's Y, and actor Song Geon-hee were also cast.
Meanwhile, K-pop girl group Apink’s Kim Nam-joo and Kwon Eun-bi from IZ*ONE debuted as musical actresses by playing Hae-na. Actress Lee Sang-ah plays the same role.
