Lee Jun-ho becomes model for Kakao Entertainment’s 'Super Webtoon Project'

SEOUL, Mar. 11 (Yonhap) -- Kakao Entertainment announced on Mar. 11 that it will launch a "Super Webtoon Project" aimed at overseas expansion of visualized webtoons.

Kakao Entertainment selects and unveils the works by reviewing the possibility of visualization, IP(Intellectual Property) perfection, quality, and possibility of entering global markets.

Kakao Page's new romance "Seiren(translated)" was selected as the first work. It is a romance piece that takes place when Aria, the female lead who fascinates people with songs, marries the prince of Valentine, who sold the soul to the devil, by contract. The work is drawing great attention with about 50 million views, including the web novel and the webtoon, according to Kakao Entertainment.

Kakao Entertainment selected actor and singer Lee Jun-ho, who appeared in the drama "The Red Sleeve," as the first model to promote the project.

The staff from Kakao Entertainment said, "Lee Jun-ho, who captivated viewers by showing both warmth and coldness, has something in common with IP of Kakao Entertainment, which has infinite expandability and stories."
