SEOUL, Sept. 16 (Yonhap) -- K-pop group BIGBANG will mark its 20th debut anniversary by performing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California next year.
According to the festival’s 2025 lineup unveiled Tuesday, BIGBANG will take the stage on April 12 and 19 (local time). The group will perform as a three-member act consisting of G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung. T.O.P, who left the group in 2023, will not join the shows.
Debuting in 2006, BIGBANG rose to fame as one of the most iconic second-generation idol groups with a string of hits including “Lies,” “Haru Haru,” “Last Farewell” and “Loser.”
The group has not released new music since dropping “Still Life” in April 2022, but members G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung have continued to appear together at solo concerts and at events such as the 2023 Mnet Asian Music Awards, maintaining their bond.
Also set to perform at next year’s Coachella are KATSEYE, a joint girl group project between HYBE and Universal Music Group’s Geffen Records, as well as Taemin of SHINee.
