
PYEONGCHANG, Aug. 23 (Yonhap) -- Buddhist monks who have completed their haangeo (하안거) practice on Monday at Woljeongsa Temple in Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do are going their separate ways. Haangeo refers to a "Vassa" ritual in Korean Buddhism in which monks stay at a fixed place for three months (from the fifteenth day of the fourth lunar month to the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month) during the rainy season to devote in meditation practice.
