SEOUL, Oct. 28 (Yonhap) -- Gyeonggi Tourism Organization has recommended six places to enjoy the fall scenery on Friday.

Seohuri Forest located between Oksan, Yang-pyeong is where a grove of birch trees can be seen uniquely in Gyeonggi province.

The place opened in 2014 by decorating Saurim 33ha into a forest and became more famous when BTS shot their 2019 calendar. Other than birch trees, various tree species such as metasequoia and maple are grown in each area.

Gapyeong's "Jathyanggi Pureunsup Arboretum" forest is densely packed by more than 90-years-old nut pines.

Located at 450~600m altitude in between Chungnyungsan and Seorisan mountains, the forest is mostly full of gentle ascent and descent, but it is not difficult to walk thanks to 'Moojangae Nanumgil' road and Deck road. Neowa house and Gwiteul house, which remade the village where slash-and-burn farmers lived in 1960-1970, along with the charcoal kiln can be seen.

Pocheon's "Gyodong Jangdokdae Village" is a place where the foot of Gonamsan Mountain spreads wide behind the village and where the Hantangang River flows powerfully on the side.

A village wehre around 20 households had to leve their hometown due to the establishment of Hantangang Dam about 10 years ago, it was reborned as it is today with the help of residents, who have obtained cooking licenses, serving as instructors for the experience program.

The village offers a variety of rural experience programs, and food tastings such as making red pepper paste, making oyster sauce, and making rice cakes with mulberry leaves, and the three meals a day program using local ingredients are the main events.

Namyangju's "Bonginsa Temple Stay" where you can relax your mind, Yeoncheon's "Gumbaeng Bookstore," a slow space where you can read over 3,000 picture books, and "Roshua Coffee," a Western liquor shop where you can enjoy the rural scenery, are also recommended as traveling places.
