SEOUL, May 5 (Yonhap) -- The starting time for S.Korean left-handed pitcher Kim Kwang-hyun of the St. Louis Cardinals, who compete in Major League Baseball, has been moved two hours earlier from 8:45 a.m. to 6:15 a.m. (KST).
The match between the Cardinals and the New York Mets, scheduled to be held at the Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri, was postponed due to bad weather and was reorganized into a double header the next day.
As a result, the game, which was scheduled to be held at the same place at 8:45 a.m. on the 6th, was pulled to 6:15 a.m. in the first round of the double header, and the game postponed the previous day will be held as the second double header.
The Cardinals announced that Kim Kwang-hyun will start the first game as the designated hitter (DH) and face Marcus Stroman (Mets) on the mound as scheduled.
Amid the pandemic, the MLB has played a double header in seven innings since last year.
