SEOUL, Dec. 24 (Yonhap) -- The Korea Choreography Copyright Association (KCCA) said Wednesday it will hold the “2025 Choreo Awards,” a ceremony honoring choreographers, later at 5 p.m. at YES24 Live Hall in Seoul.

Now in its second year, the Choreo Awards aim to promote awareness of choreography copyrights and recognize creators who have contributed to the growth of the dance industry.

This year’s slogan, “Beyond the Borders of Dance,” highlights the global stature of K-dance as it transcends national, linguistic and cultural boundaries.

Renowned choreographers and dancers including Lia Kim, Choi Young-jun, Aiki, Bada and We Dem Boyz will take part in the event. Performances will also feature teams and artists such as 1MILLION, Bebe, If I, Aiki x Gimugan and the Enjoy Couple.

The ceremony will include a red carpet event and live performances, and will be broadcast live on Naver TV.

“Choreography is a core pillar of K-pop, and building a system in which choreographers are respected is key to safeguarding the future of the industry,” KCCA Chairwoman Kim Hye-rang said. “The Choreo Awards will serve as a stage symbolizing that change.”
