Presidential aides meet Yoon at detention center
SEOUL, Jan. 31 (Yonhap) -- The presidential chief of staff, Chung Jin-suk, and other senior aides met President Yoon Suk Yeol at the Seoul Detention Center on Friday, presidential officials said.
It marks the first visit by Yoon's senior aides since the impeached president was formally detained at the center in Uiwang, just south of Seoul, on Jan. 19 over allegations related to his short-lived imposition of martial law last month.
The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials lifted restrictions on Yoon's meetings with visitors last Friday, but general visits were limited during the Lunar New Year holiday, which ended Thursday.
Yoon is reportedly allowed only one general visit per day.
