SEOUL, Mar. 5 (Yonhap) -- Singer AleXa will appear in the U.S. NBC competition program "American Song Contest," which will air for the first time on Mar. 21 (local time), according to the agency ZB Label, Saturday.
AleXa said, "I'm so happy and honored to participate in the American Song Contest as a representative of my hometown Oklahoma," adding, "I'll prepare myself best and show you a cool and unforgettable performance.”
" The "American Song Contest" is a competition program in which singers representing a total of 56 regions, including 50 U.S. states and Washington D.C., compete for the best hit songs. Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg will be the hosts.
AleXa is the only K-pop singer on the program. The singer, from the United States, first made her face known on Mnet's audition program "Produce 48" in 2018 and debuted with "Bomb" the following year.
